Responsible Gaming

This page sets out practical ways to keep gambling under control and states plainly what this site can and cannot do for a reader who wants help. It carries no account, no form and no age check of its own — anything of that kind happens later, at the destination a reader chooses to visit.

Before You Start

Decisions made before any money is involved are far easier to keep than decisions made in the middle of a session.

  • Decide the amount you're willing to lose before you begin, and treat it as already spent — this removes the pressure of watching a running balance and reacting to it.
  • Keep gambling money separate from money set aside for bills or borrowed from elsewhere, so a loss stays a loss and does not become a debt.
  • Set a time limit as well as a money limit; tiredness makes it harder to stick to either.

While Playing

Most harm builds up gradually during a session rather than in a single decision, which is why small habits matter more than willpower alone.

  • Take breaks away from the screen; a short pause makes it easier to notice how much time or money has actually gone.
  • Never chase a loss by increasing a stake to win it back — the original amount is already gone, and chasing only risks a second, larger loss.
  • If a session stops feeling like entertainment and starts feeling necessary, stop and involve someone else early, before it becomes harder to talk about.

Independent Help

Every page of this site, including this one, links to three independent organisations that support people affected by gambling: begambleaware.org, gamblingtherapy.org and gamcare.org.uk. These links appear on every page of the build, open in a separate tab on the organisation's own site, and carry no sponsored marking and no follow signal — they are the only non-commercial outbound links anywhere on this site, and nothing is received here when a reader uses one.

What Happens at the Destination

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are account features that belong to an operator, arranged inside an account at the destination — not something this site holds, offers or switches on. This site has no account, no form and no server-side application behind it, so nothing published here can set, check or enforce any such control. Similarly, nobody's age is verified here and no gambling takes place on this site; any age check happens only at the destination once an operator link is followed. Each of the ten operator listings ends with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, since eligibility rules can change without notice. The eighteen-and-over restriction appears throughout this build, including on the front page and at the end of every listing.

No Targeting

No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs on these pages, so nothing here is aimed at a reader based on past behaviour. This site's own analytics record only page views and clicks on outbound buttons for traffic counting, and that data is not shared with advertising networks or outside analytics services.
